Wooden Hot Tubs made of Thermo Wood  -  Made in Finland ! 

Our Thermo Wood actually is Scandinavian Pine Wood but ecologically preserved. The Pine Wood has undergone a heat treatment to increase the sustainability similar to teak, cedar, etc. During the thermal treatment  we only use steam and heat without adding chemicals. Because the wood is heated to about 210C, sugars koolhydtraten and resins are being removed from the wood. Therefore no more food for insects and fungi which are normally a threat to the life of wood.

Therefore Thermo Wood is very suitable for a wooden hot tub.

Thanks to the thermal treatment of the wood, moisture is reduced to about 4% thereby taking the distortion by 50% off. Thermowood is a very stable wood, it is shrinking very minimal and is expanding waterproof rapidly. The process of sustainability ensures a hot tub with a very long lifetime.

Thermo Wood has a warm dark brown color.
